And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.


“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.


Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.


and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.


So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”


Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”


And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.


His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’


And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”


Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”


For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”


And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell,


But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”


When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?


If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”


Whoever hates me hates my Father also.


Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.


But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”


For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”


If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.


strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.


Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience,


But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.


For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.


so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.


and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.


Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.


The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
