And he told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow.


And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”


And although they were seeking to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because they held him to be a prophet.


One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying these things you insult us also.”


The scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him at that very hour, for they perceived that he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people.
