Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people,


The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”


And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”


And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them.


While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”


And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”


praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
