The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”


For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?


And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”


While Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him, so he went in and reclined at table.


One Sabbath, when he went to dine at the house of a ruler of the Pharisees, they were watching him carefully.


And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”


And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”


And Levi made him a great feast in his house, and there was a large company of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them.


For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’


Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.”


One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.


So they gave a dinner for him there. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those reclining with him at table.


Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.
