He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.


as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.


None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live.


“Then lie on your left side, and place the punishment of the house of Israel upon it. For the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their punishment.


And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed of the leprous disease. Then he shall pronounce him clean and shall let the living bird go into the open field.


And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins. And he shall put them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.


“Then Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting and shall take off the linen garments that he put on when he went into the Holy Place and shall leave them there.


He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—


so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
