In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.


Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”


On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.


Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!


The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah


Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?


For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;


Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,


“Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him.


“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”


And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”


for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.


No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”


For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.


And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”


Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.


Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”


Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”


For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.


For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.


So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.


We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.


God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.


We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.


If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.


Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?


knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.


For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.


even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—


that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,


who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.


I can do all things through him who strengthens me.


being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy;


For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.


For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.


For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,


and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.
