And what more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Lord God!


And she said to Elijah, “What have you against me, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!”


And what more can David say to you for honoring your servant? For you know your servant.


I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.


You have tried my heart, you have visited me by night, you have tested me, and you will find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.


“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”


for he does not afflict from his heart or grieve the children of men.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.


If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.


Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.”


Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.


Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them, “Whom do you seek?”


Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.”


Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”


And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen


This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.


And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,


For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.


And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.


“The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows; and let Israel itself know! If it was in rebellion or in breach of faith against the Lord, do not spare us today


In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,


This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,


and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.


Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
