Why do you not pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity? For now I shall lie in the earth; you will seek me, but I shall not be.”


As the cloud fades and vanishes, so he who goes down to Sheol does not come up;


They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,


You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning:


So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity.


they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets—


Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.


Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and they who dwell in it will die in like manner; but my salvation will be forever, and my righteousness will never be dismayed.


“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.


“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain.


And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.


Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.


Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
