And the king of Israel answered, “Tell him, ‘Let not him who straps on his armor boast himself as he who takes it off.’”


He said, “If they have come out for peace, take them alive. Or if they have come out for war, take them alive.”


You blew with your wind; the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.


The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil, my desire shall have its fill of them. I will draw my sword; my hand shall destroy them.’


For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:


The Egyptians are man, and not God, and their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out his hand, the helper will stumble, and he who is helped will fall, and they will all perish together.


speak, and say, Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his streams, that says, ‘My Nile is my own; I made it for myself.’


“Whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? You shall be brought down with the trees of Eden to the world below. You shall lie among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. “This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, declares the Lord God.”
