the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes?


Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say, “Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.”


Her prophets are fickle, treacherous men; her priests profane what is holy; they do violence to the law.


But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant,
