Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.


With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth.


O my threshed and winnowed one, what I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, I announce to you.


He sees many things, but does not observe them; his ears are open, but he does not hear.


I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.


Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”


Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.


They are created now, not long ago; before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’


And you, O generation, behold the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of thick darkness? Why then do my people say, ‘We are free, we will come no more to you’?


Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.


“Declare among the nations and proclaim, set up a banner and proclaim, conceal it not, and say: ‘Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed. Her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.’


Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster come to a city, unless the Lord has done it?


The voice of the Lord cries to the city— and it is sound wisdom to fear your name: “Hear of the rod and of him who appointed it!


What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.


No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.


But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”


But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—


Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.


After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
