that I may look upon the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.


Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.


This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.


Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.


and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”


In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.”


In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.


no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”


Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.


Your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut, that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession.


Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.


Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified.


to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.


For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch.
