And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside the ark of God.


Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the people of Israel.


Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults.


For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”


Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.”


These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed by wine, they stagger with strong drink, they reel in vision, they stumble in giving judgment.


therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”


My people—infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths.


for those who guide this people have been leading them astray, and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.


My people inquire of a piece of wood, and their walking staff gives them oracles. For a spirit of whoredom has led them astray, and they have left their God to play the whore.


And this shall be a statute forever for you, that atonement may be made for the people of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” And Aaron did as the Lord commanded Moses.


He shall bring to the priest a ram without blemish out of the flock, or its equivalent, for a guilt offering, and the priest shall make atonement for him for the mistake that he made unintentionally, and he shall be forgiven.


Flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not retain his strength, nor shall the mighty save his life;


And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord for their mistake.


They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.


But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.


We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,


He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.


Behind the second curtain was a second section called the Most Holy Place,
