Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”


The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.


the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.


Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.


Though they hire allies among the nations, I will soon gather them up. And the king and princes shall soon writhe because of the tribute.


He who opens the breach goes up before them; they break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king passes on before them, the Lord at their head.


one bull from the herd, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering;


And he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course.


“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”


Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?”


and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,


and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.


When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.


and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.


God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.


For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.


in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—


But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.


yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.


And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.


so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.


When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.


Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.


looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.


where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.


For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.


It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.


So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:


And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.


“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”


After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
