then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.


And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.


Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks.


So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”


They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.


The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.


For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.”

They were snatched away before their time; their foundation was washed away.


a fruitful land into a salty waste, because of the evil of its inhabitants.

“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,


“This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you.


“For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.


“Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: Behold, I, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.


therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, even I, am against you. And I will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.


and say, You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.


For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and no one shall rescue.


then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and I myself will discipline you sevenfold for your sins.


who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth— the Lord is his name.


and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.


They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.


so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.


For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


“‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.


By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.


because they formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.


if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;
