That food shall be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine that are to occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish through the famine.”


And Joseph answered, “Give your livestock, and I will give you food in exchange for your livestock, if your money is gone.”


And at the harvests you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four fifths shall be your own, as seed for the field and as food for yourselves and your households, and as food for your little ones.”


Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.


he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.

So he said to the men of Succoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are exhausted, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.”

Now then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever is here.”
