And Joseph gave orders to fill their bags with grain, and to replace every man’s money in his sack, and to give them provisions for the journey. This was done for them.


They served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians could not eat with the Hebrews, for that is an abomination to the Egyptians.


Then he commanded the steward of his house, “Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack,


And he searched, beginning with the eldest and ending with the youngest. And the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.


As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away with their donkeys.


“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.


I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine.

And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.
