Then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my clan. And if they will not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.’


Come now, let us make a covenant, you and I. And let it be a witness between you and me.”


His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands.

Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed.


What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?


the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you.


Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”


For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation.
