“Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.


A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.


“You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.


“You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.


“They do not know how to do right,” declares the Lord, “those who store up violence and robbery in their strongholds.”


Their hands are on what is evil, to do it well; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.


For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.


He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,


He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”


He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.


For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”


nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.


Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.


“If a man is found stealing one of his brothers of the people of Israel, and if he treats him as a slave or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.


that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
