But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions.


You renew your witnesses against me and increase your vexation toward me; you bring fresh troops against me.


At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.


So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders that I will do in it; after that he will let you go.


But the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”


For this time I will send all my plagues on you yourself, and on your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.


“Then if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will continue striking you, sevenfold for your sins.


Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.


And they said, “What is the guilt offering that we shall return to him?” They answered, “Five golden tumors and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines, for the same plague was on all of you and on your lords.
