Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”


And he said, “If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me, but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will help you.


Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.


For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!


one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his eyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, “For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy business.


And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,


I am not able to carry all this people alone; the burden is too heavy for me.


And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.


Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.


While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”


Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.


The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!”
