God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me;


I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.


And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.


therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’


And say to him, ‘Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.


Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.”


“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.


And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.


and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’


See, the Lord your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has told you. Do not fear or be dismayed.’


“When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.


And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people


See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.


Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.


So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”


One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the Lord your God who fights for you, just as he promised you.


Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.


And David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
