And who is like your people Israel, the one nation on earth whom God went to redeem to be his people, making himself a name and doing for them great and awesome things by driving out before your people, whom you redeemed for yourself from Egypt, a nation and its gods?


“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug.


“Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’


In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,


remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.


Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.


You shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress. As the Lord your God has blessed you, you shall give to him.


But if he says to you, ‘I will not go out from you,’ because he loves you and your household, since he is well-off with you,


You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt; and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.


who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.


By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
