30 But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”


You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.


For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.


As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.


The king answered and said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is God of gods and Lord of kings, and a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.”


Daniel made a request of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel remained at the king’s court.


For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord, the God of hosts, is his name!


And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.


And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.


And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?


And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.


For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
