But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?


gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Arise and work! The Lord be with you!”


Ashkelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;


And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say.”


When the angel who spoke to him had departed, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among those who attended him,


Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.


For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship,


But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,


And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”


Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.


Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
