The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.


In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:


Then rose up the heads of the fathers’ houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem.


Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem,


And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the Lord’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.


All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord.


Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, “Please let me go back to my brothers in Egypt to see whether they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”


Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.


The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.


And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.”


And seeing one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian.


But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same earnest care I have for you.


Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.


for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
