Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called upon his name. They called to the Lord, and he answered them.


Then the Lord said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my heart would not turn toward this people. Send them out of my sight, and let them go!


And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.


All this took about 450 years. And after that he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.


explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”


that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”


Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,


whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.


But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—


Samuel was ministering before the Lord, a boy clothed with a linen ephod.


Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.


And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of the Lord.
