All the day my enemies taunt me; those who deride me use my name for a curse.


This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that the same event happens to all. Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead.


Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues,


“But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them.


“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter,


“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!


But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.


But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.


But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.


And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
