He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.

O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you.


In every city of Judah he made high places to make offerings to other gods, provoking to anger the Lord, the God of his fathers.


who sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, even though not according to the sanctuary’s rules of cleanness.”


Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem,


The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.


“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord?


For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.


But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace,

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness,


He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.


My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
