And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them, as everything that the king did pleased all the people.


The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.


and the plan seemed right to the king and all the assembly.


And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias.


Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.


But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus.


The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.


Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.


with the following letter: “The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings.


it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,


We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.


So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers.


So when they were sent off, they went down to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.


And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.


but Paul chose Silas and departed, having been commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.


But when her owners saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.


About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,


And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas.


The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.


Then the brothers immediately sent Paul off on his way to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.


And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a great many of the devout Greeks and not a few of the leading women.


When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.


Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,


For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but in him it is always Yes.
