And the king’s servants said to the king, “Behold, your servants are ready to do whatever my lord the king decides.”


But Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?”


And all the people were arguing throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies and saved us from the hand of the Philistines, and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.


Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem;


The prince shall not take any of the inheritance of the people, thrusting them out of their property. He shall give his sons their inheritance out of his own property, so that none of my people shall be scattered from his property.”
