Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted.


The cedar within the house was carved in the form of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar; no stone was seen.


And Elisha came again to Gilgal when there was a famine in the land. And as the sons of the prophets were sitting before him, he said to his servant, “Set on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”


And they poured out some for the men to eat. But while they were eating of the stew, they cried out, “O man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it.


Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.


What more was there to do for my vineyard, that I have not done in it? When I looked for it to yield grapes, why did it yield wild grapes?


Yet I planted you a choice vine, wholly of pure seed. How then have you turned degenerate and become a wild vine?


He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.


See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;
