I must speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.


I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!


O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.


Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.


Now the hand of the Lord had been upon me the evening before the fugitive came; and he had opened my mouth by the time the man came to me in the morning, so my mouth was opened, and I was no longer mute.


“Moreover, wine is a traitor, an arrogant man who is never at rest. His greed is as wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough. He gathers for himself all nations and collects as his own all peoples.”


After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.


Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized.


I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?


For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you.


O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.


Brothers, I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong.


and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,


knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free.


For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.


And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.
