But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life out of every adversity,


he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.


I love you, O Lord, my strength.


With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;


who rescued me from my enemies; yes, you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from the man of violence.


He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.


For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.
