And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.


By your messengers you have mocked the Lord, and you have said, ‘With my many chariots I have gone up the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon; I felled its tallest cedars, its choicest cypresses; I entered its farthest lodging place, its most fruitful forest.


Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.


The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.


Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
