10 As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. And when they would say, ‘He is not here,’ he would take an oath of the kingdom or nation, that they had not found you.

And the king swore, saying, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my soul out of every adversity,


Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.”


And she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.”


So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan.


“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you.”


And now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here.”’


And Elijah said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”


And he said, “How have I sinned, that you would give your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?


Now therefore as the Lord lives, who has established me and placed me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death today.”


But Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”


In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised.


In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.


He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.


Then the officials said to Baruch, “Go and hide, you and Jeremiah, and let no one know where you are.”


And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son and Seraiah the son of Azriel and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to seize Baruch the secretary and Jeremiah the prophet, but the Lord hid them.


So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.


See therefore and take note of all the lurking places where he hides, and come back to me with sure information. Then I will go with you. And if he is in the land, I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”


Then Achish called David and said to him, “As the Lord lives, you have been honest, and to me it seems right that you should march out and in with me in the campaign. For I have found nothing wrong in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords do not approve of you.
