3 Another angel came and stood at the altar. {\cf2\super [61]} This angel had a golden holder for incense. {\cf2\super [62]} The angel was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [63]} The angel put this offering on the golden altar before the throne.

Then Moses put the gold altar in the Meeting Tent. [498] He put the altar in front of the curtain.


\{There was a fire on the altar. {\cf2\super [67]} \} One of the Seraph angels {\cf2\super [68]} used a pair of tongs {\cf2\super [69]} to take a hot coal from the fire. The angel flew to me with the hot coal in his hand.


an altar {\cf2\super [383]} made from wood. It was 3 cubits {\cf2\super [384]} high and 2 cubits {\cf2\super [385]} long. Its corners, its base, and its sides were wood. The man said to me, “This is the table that is before the Lord.”


This is the vision {\cf2\super [1]} of Obadiah. The Lord my Master says this about Edom: {\cf2\super [2]}


“People all around the world respect my name. All around the world people bring good gifts to me. They burn good incense {\cf2\super [7]} as a gift to me. Why? Because my name is important to all those people.” The Lord All-Powerful said these things.


“They must spread a blue cloth over the golden altar. They must cover that with fine leather. [58] Then they must put the poles for carrying it {in the rings on the altar}.


There were many, many people outside. They were praying at the time the incense was offered.


Who can say that God’s people are guilty? No one! Christ Jesus died \{for us\}, but that is not all. He was also raised from death. And now he is at God’s right side and is begging God for us.


So Christ can save those people who come to God through him. Christ can do this forever, because he always lives, ready to help people when they come before God.


In the Most Holy Place was a golden altar {\cf2\super [94]} for burning incense. {\cf2\super [95]} And also there was the Holy Box of the Agreement. {\cf2\super [96]} The box was covered with gold. Inside this box was a golden jar of manna {\cf2\super [97]} and Aaron’s rod (stick)—the rod that once grew leaves. Also in the box were the flat rocks \{with the Ten Commandments\} of the old agreement \{written on them\}.


Then I saw another powerful angel coming down from heaven. The angel was dressed in a cloud. He had a rainbow around his head. The angel’s face was like the sun, and his legs were like poles of fire.


And then another angel came from the altar. {\cf2\super [109]} This angel has power over the fire. This angel called to the angel with the sharp sickle. {\cf2\super [110]} He said, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the bunches of grapes from the earth’s vine. The earth’s grapes are ripe.”


After the Lamb took the scroll, the four living things and the 24 elders bowed down before the Lamb. Each one of them had a harp. {\cf2\super [43]} Also they were holding golden bowls full of incense. {\cf2\super [44]} These bowls of incense are the prayers of God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [45]}


The Lamb opened the fifth seal. Then I saw some souls under the altar. {\cf2\super [51]} They were the souls of those people who had been killed because they were faithful to God’s message {\cf2\super [52]} and to the truth they had received.


Then I saw another angel coming from the east. This angel had the seal of the living God. The angel called out with a loud voice to the four angels. These were the four angels that God had given the power to hurt the earth and the sea. The angel said to the four angels,


The smoke from the incense went up from the angel’s hand to God. The smoke went up with the prayers of God’s people.


Then the angel filled the incense holder with fire from the altar. The angel threw the incense holder on the earth. Then there were flashes of lightning, thunder and other noises, and an earthquake.


The sixth angel blew his trumpet. Then I heard a voice coming from the four horns on the golden altar {\cf2\super [70]} that is before God.
