Then the man measured the length of the room. It was 20 cubits {\cf2\super [368]} long and 20 cubits {\cf2\super [369]} wide. The man said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”


He measured the four walls that went all the way around \{the temple\}. The wall was 500 cubits long and 500 cubits wide. It separated the holy area from the area that is not holy.


“The distance around the city will be 18,000 cubits. {\cf2\super [486]} From now on, the name of the city will be: THE LORD IS THERE. {\cf2\super [487]}


The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod made of gold. The angel had this rod to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.


The angel also measured the wall. It was 144 cubits {\cf2\super [165]} high. (The angel was using the same measurement that people use.)
