Revelation 2:7 - Easy To Read Version

7 “Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [14]} says to the churches. To the person that wins the victory I will give the right to eat \{the fruit\} from the tree of life. This tree is in the garden of God.

The Lord God made every beautiful tree and every tree that was good for food to grow in the garden. In the middle of the garden, the Lord God put the tree of life and also the tree that gives knowledge about good and evil.


The things a good man does are like the Tree of Life. {\cf2\super [14]} A wise man gives new life to people. {\cf2\super [15]}


If there is no hope, then the heart is sad. If the thing you wish for happens, then you are filled with joy.


Kind words are like a Tree of Life. {\cf2\super [19]} But lying words will crush a man’s spirit.


Wisdom is like the Tree of Life. {\cf2\super [3]} It gives full life to people that accept it. People that keep wisdom will be truly happy!


You were in Eden,\par the Garden of God.\par You had every precious stone—\par rubies, topaz, and diamonds;\par beryls, onyx, and jasper;\par sapphires, turquoise, and emeralds.\par And each of these stones was set in gold.\par You were given this beauty\par on the day you were created.\par \{God\} made you strong.\par


Even the cedar trees in God’s garden\par were not as big as this tree.\par Cypress trees did not have as many branches.\par Plane-trees did not have such branches.\par No tree in God’s garden\par was as beautiful as this tree.\par


You people that hear me, listen!


Then the good people will shine like the sun. They will be in the kingdom of their Father. You people that hear me, listen!


You people that hear me, listen!”


Then Jesus said, “You people that hear me, listen!”


There is nothing a person puts into his body that makes him wrong. {\cf2\super [86]} A person is made wrong by the things that come from him.”


Then Jesus said to him, “Listen! What I say is true: Today you will be with me in Paradise {\cf2\super [380]} !”


And some seed fell on good ground. This seed grew and made 100 times more grain.”


“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have defeated the world!”


But God has shown us these things through the Spirit. {\cf2\super [15]}


I write to you, fathers,\par because you know the One who existed (lived) from the beginning.\par I write to you, young people,\par because you have defeated the\par Evil One (the devil).\par


If a person hears these things, then he should listen to this:


Then I heard a voice from heaven. The voice said, “Write this: From now on, the dead people who were in the Lord when they died are blessed (happy).”


I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire. All the people who had won the victory over the animal and his idol {\cf2\super [111]} and over the number of his name were standing by the sea. These people had harps {\cf2\super [112]} that God had given them.


“Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [15]} says to the churches. The person that wins the victory will not be hurt by the second death.


“Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [20]} says to the churches!


Any person that wins the victory will receive all this. And I will be his God, and he will be my son.


“Those people who washed their robes {\cf2\super [174]} will be blessed. They will have the right to \{eat the food from\} the tree of life. They can go through the gates into the city.


The Spirit {\cf2\super [178]} and the bride say, “Come!” Every person that hears this should also say, “Come!” If a person is thirsty, let him come; that person can have the water of life as a free gift if he wants it.


It flows down the middle of the street of the city. The tree of life was on each side of the river. The tree of life makes fruit twelve times a year. It gives fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing all the people.
