20 The grapes were squeezed in the winepress outside the city. Blood flowed out of the winepress. It rose as high as the heads of the horses for a distance of 200 miles.

He ties his donkey to a grapevine. He ties his young donkey to the best grapevines. He uses the best wine to wash his clothes.


“\{These people will be in my holy city.\} And if they go out \{of the city\} they will see the dead bodies of the people that sinned against me. \{There will be worms in those bodies\}—and the worms will never die. \{Fires will burn those bodies\}—and the fires will never stop.”


“The Lord rejected all my strong soldiers.\par Those soldiers were inside the city.\par Then the Lord brought a group of people against me.\par He brought those people to kill my young soldiers.\par The Lord has stepped on the grapes in the winepress.\par


I will pour your blood on the mountains,\par and it will soak down into the ground.\par The rivers will be full of you.\par

The bodies of the two witnesses will lie in the street of the great city. This city is named Sodom {\cf2\super [84]} and Egypt. These names for the city have a special meaning. This is the city where the Lord was killed.
