I stopped evil people abusing their power\par and saved innocent people from them. {\cf2\super [62]} \par


No person can force Leviathan\par to open his jaws.\par The teeth in his mouth scare people.\par


\{Lord,\} destroy the evil people.\par


Those bad people are like lions\par waiting to kill and eat another animal.\par They hide like lions, ready to attack.\par


Lord, get up! {\cf2\super [10]} \par My God, come rescue me!\par \{You are very strong!\}\par If you hit my bad enemies on the cheek,\par you will break all their teeth.\par


You will have power to walk on lions\par and poisonous snakes.\par


A person might know how to control snakes. But that skill is useless if a snake bites someone when he is not around. \{Wisdom is like that.\}


The Lord told me: “When a lion or a lion’s cub catches an animal to eat, the lion stands over the dead animal and roars. At that time nothing can scare that great lion. If men come and yell at the lion, the lion will not be afraid. The men can make much noise, but the lion will not run away.”


“People of Judah,\par I am sending poisonous snakes {\cf2\super [73]} \par to attack you.\par Those snakes can’t be controlled.\par Those snakes will bite you.”\par This message is from the Lord.\par


Why? Because I will be like a lion to Ephraim.\par I will be like a young lion\par to the nation {\cf2\super [62]} of Judah.\par I—yes, I (the Lord)—will rip them to pieces.\par I will carry them away,\par And no person can save.\par


But the survivors {\cf2\super [67]} from Jacob in the nations\par scattered among those people\par will be like a lion\par among the animals in the forest.\par They will be like a young lion\par among flocks of sheep.\par If the lion passes through,\par he goes where he wants to go.\par If he attacks an animal,\par then no one can save that animal.\par \{The survivors will be like that.\}\par


The people are as strong as a lion. They fight like a lion. And that lion will not rest, until he has eaten his enemy. And that lion will not rest, until he drinks the blood of the people who are against him.”
