So, if you hear the trumpet, run to that place. We will all meet together there, and God will fight for us!”


Lord, fight my fight for me and save me.\par Let me live, like you promised.\par


God, there is a man who is not one of your loyal followers.\par That man is crooked and tells lies.\par God, save me from that man!\par Defend me and prove that I am right.\par


You won’t have to do anything but stay calm. The Lord will do the fighting for you.”


The wheels of the chariots became stuck. It was very hard to control the chariots. The Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! The Lord is fighting against us. The Lord is fighting for the people of Israel.”


You must obey everything he says. You must do everything that I tell you. If you do this, then I will be with you. I will be against all of your enemies. And I will be an enemy to every person who is against you.”


The Lord is on their side. He supports them and he will take things away from any person that takes from them.

So the Lord says:\par “I will defend you, Judah.\par I will make sure\par that Babylon is punished.\par I will dry up Babylon’s sea.\par And I will make her water springs\par become dry.\par


Lord, you defended me.\par You bought back my life for me.\par


I sinned against the Lord.\par So he was angry at me.\par But he will argue my case for me in court.\par He will do the things that are right for me.\par Then he will bring me out into the light.\par And I will see that he is right.\par


All these Jews began shouting louder and louder. Some of the teachers of the law, who were Pharisees, stood up and argued, “We find nothing wrong with this man! Maybe an angel or a spirit really did speak to him!”


But if this is from God, then you will not be able to stop them. You might even be fighting against God himself!”
