At the same time, the Lord began to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. The Lord caused fire and burning sulfur to fall out of the sky from the Lord.


God orders the clouds\par to blow all around the earth.\par The clouds do whatever God commands.\par


Angels, praise the Lord!\par You angels are the powerful soldiers\par who obey God’s commands.\par You listen to God and obey his commands.\par


Then, God’s shining brightness\par broke through the clouds.\par There was hail and flashes of lightning.\par


So Moses raised his walking stick over the land of Egypt, and the Lord caused a strong wind to blow from the east. The wind blew all that day and night. When morning came, the wind had brought the locusts to the land of Egypt.


So the Lord changed the wind. The Lord made a very strong wind blow from the west, and it blew the locusts out of Egypt and into the Red Sea. Not one locust was left in Egypt!


The Lord led the way. During the day, the Lord used a tall cloud to lead the people. And during the night, the Lord used a tall column of fire to lead the way. This fire gave them light so they could also travel at night.


The Lord will judge the people. Then the Lord will destroy the people with fire and with his sword. The Lord will destroy many people.


I will show amazing things\par in the sky and on the earth—\par There will be blood, fire, and thick smoke.\par


So fire came from the Lord and destroyed Nadab and Abihu. They died in front of the Lord.


\{Who am I?\} I am the One who made the mountains. I created your minds. {\cf2\super [56]} I taught people how to speak and I changed the darkness into dawn. I walk over the mountains of the earth. \{Who am I?\} My name is YAHWEH, God of the armies.” {\cf2\super [57]}


The Lord my Master showed these things to me: \{I\} saw the Lord God calling for judgment by fire. The fire destroyed the Great Deep. The fire was beginning to eat up the land.


But the Lord brought a great storm on the sea. The wind made the sea very rough. The storm was very strong and the boat was ready to break apart.


The men wanted to make the boat lighter to stop it from sinking. So they began throwing the cargo {\cf2\super [5]} into the sea. The sailors were very scared. Each man began praying to his god.


Then a fire came from the Lord and destroyed the 250 men who were offering the incense. [209]


Then the army of Israel chased the enemy down the road from Beth Horon to Azekah. While they were chasing the enemy, the Lord caused large hailstones to fall from the sky. Many of the enemy were killed by these large hailstones. More men were killed by the hailstones than by the swords of the soldiers of Israel.


Giant hailstones fell on the people from the sky. These hailstones weighed about 100 pounds each. People cursed God because of this trouble of the hail. This trouble was a terrible thing.
