Your teachings make me wise,\par so I hate false teachings.\par


I carefully obey all of your commands. {\cf2\super [601]} \par I hate false teachings.\par


I hate lies! I despise them!\par But I love your teachings, Lord.\par


Lord, don’t let me look at worthless things.\par Help me live your way.\par


If I always obey your laws, Lord,\par


Don’t let me tell lies. And don’t make me too rich or too poor—only give me the things I need each day.


That man does not know what he is doing. He is confused, so his heart leads him the wrong way. That man can’t save himself. And he can’t see that he is doing wrong. That man will not say, “This statue I am holding is a false god.”


Lord, you are my strength\par and my protection.\par You are a safe place to run to\par in time of trouble.\par The nations will come to you\par from all around the world.\par They will say,\par “Our fathers had false gods.\par They worshiped those worthless idols,\par but those idols did not help them at all.”\par


“Some people worship useless idols.\par But those statues never help them. {\cf2\super [12]} \par


If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us.


A person says, “I know God!” But if that person does not obey God’s commands, then that person is a liar. The truth is not in him.


Outside the city are the dogs (bad people), people who do evil magic, people who sin sexually, people who murder, people who worship idols, {\cf2\super [175]} and people who love lies and tell lies.
