I try to serve God with all my heart.\par God, help me obey your commands.\par


Lord, you criticize proud people.\par Bad things will happen to them.\par They refuse to obey your commands.\par


People who think they are better than me\par insulted me constantly.\par But I did not stop following your teachings.\par


Some proud people stabbed me\par with their lies.\par And that is against your teachings.\par


Those people almost destroyed me.\par But I did not stop obeying your commands.\par


Wicked people tried to destroy me.\par But your Agreement {\cf2\super [596]} made me wise.\par


Those proud people set a trap for me.\par They spread a net to catch me.\par They set a trap in my path.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [639]})\i0 \par


Bad people set traps for me.\par Don’t let me fall into their traps.\par Don’t let them trap me.\par


But I am like a deaf person\par that cannot hear.\par I am like a mute person\par that cannot speak.\par

Let there be crying in their houses.\par Make them cry when you suddenly\par bring an enemy against them.\par Let all this happen because my enemies\par tried to trap me.\par They hid traps for me to step in.\par


Daniel always prayed to God three times every day. Three times every day, Daniel got down on his knees and prayed and praised God. When Daniel heard about the new law he went to his house. Daniel went up to his room on the roof of his house. Daniel went to the windows that opened toward Jerusalem. Then Daniel got down on his knees and prayed, like he always did.
