He gives new strength to my soul\par for the good of his name.\par He leads me on paths of goodness, {\cf2\super [139]} \par to show he is truly good.\par


\{The Lord says,\}\par “I will teach you and guide you\par on the way you should live.\par I will protect you and be your guide.\par


Wisdom will help you follow the example of good people. Wisdom will help you live the way good people live.


So the Lord will give you his wisdom. Then you will understand the things that are good and fair and right.


Think about God in all that you do. Then he will help you.


Their teachings will lead you wherever you go. They will watch over you while you sleep. And when you wake up, they will talk to you and guide you.


The things I give are better than fine gold.\par And my gifts are better than pure silver.\par


I give wealth to people who love me.\par Yes, I fill their houses with treasures.\par


Many people will go there. They will say, “Come! Let’s go up to the Lord’s mountain. Let’s go up to the temple of the God of Jacob. Then God will teach us his way of living. And we will follow him.”


The people will not be hungry.\par They will not be thirsty.\par The hot sun and wind will not hurt them.\par Why? Because God comforts them\par and God will lead them.\par He will lead them near springs of water.\par


I made David a witness of my power\par for all nations.\par I promised David that he would become\par a ruler and a commander of many nations.”\par


The man that guards the gate opens the gate for the shepherd. And the sheep listen to the voice of the shepherd. The shepherd calls his own sheep, using their names, and he leads them out.


“So, you people must be careful to do all the things the Lord commanded you. Don’t stop following God!


The Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of water that give life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
