Proverbs 30:4 - Easy To Read Version

4 No person has ever learned about the things from heaven. No person has ever caught the wind in his hand. No person has ever held water in a piece of cloth. No person can ever really know the limits of the earth. If any person can do these things, who is he? Where is his family?

Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.”


“Job, do you think that\par you really understand God?\par You can’t understand God All-Powerful.\par


You can’t do anything about\par what is up in heaven!\par You don’t know anything\par about the place of death.\par


God fills the thick clouds with water.\par But God doesn’t let that heavy weight\par break the clouds open.\par


God makes the clouds all over the earth.\par God makes the lightning and rain.\par And God makes the wind. {\cf2\super [627]} \par


Now I will tell you about the Lord’s agreement.\par The Lord said to me,\par “Today I become your father! {\cf2\super [4]} \par And you are my son.\par


May the people in all the faraway countries\par remember the Lord and come back to him!\par May the people in all the foreign countries\par worship the Lord.\par


The Lord built the earth on the water.\par He built it over the rivers.\par


He went up above \{on the high mountain\},\par leading a parade of captives;\par to take the gifts from men, {\cf2\super [394]} \par including the people\par who turned against him.\par The Lord {\cf2\super [395]} God \{went up there\} to live.\par


But you blew on them and covered them with the sea. They sank like lead into the deep sea.


“I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They called me El Shaddai (God All-Powerful). They did not know my name, YAHWEH (Lord).


The Lord is God.\par He made the skies and the earth.\par The Lord put the earth in its place.\par The Lord did not want the earth\par to be empty when he made it.\par He created it to be lived on!\par “I am the Lord.\par There is no other God.\par


Men used force and took him—and they did not judge him fairly. No person can tell about his future family, because he was taken from the land of living people. He was punished to pay for the sins of my people.


But \{God,\} my Master, will show you a sign:


This will happen when the special child is born. God will give a son to us. This son will be responsible for leading the people. His name will be “Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace.”


In the time of that good ‘sprout,’\par the people of Judah will be saved.\par And Israel will live in safety.\par This will be his name:\par The Lord is our Goodness. {\cf2\super [182]} \par


“My Father has given me all things. No person knows the Son—only the Father knows the Son. And no person knows the Father—only the Son knows the Father. And the only people that will know about the Father are those people the Son chooses to tell.


“My Father has given me all things. No person knows who the Son is—only the Father knows. And only the Son knows who the Father is. The only people that will know about the Father are those people the Son chooses to tell.”


The only one that has ever gone up to heaven is the One that came down from heaven—the Son of Man. {\cf2\super [48]}


But this is what the Scripture {\cf2\super [100]} says about being made right through faith: “Don’t say to yourself, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’” {\cf2\super [101]} (That means, “Who will go up to heaven to get Christ and bring him down to earth?”)


“You must obey all the commands and teachings that are written in this book. And you must respect the wonderful and awesome name of the Lord your God. If you don’t obey, then


This command is not in heaven so that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us and bring it to us, so that we can hear and do it?’


His eyes are like burning fire. He has many crowns on his head. He has a name written on him, but he is the only one who knows the name. No other person knows the name.


The Angel of the Lord said, “Why do you ask my name? It is too amazing {for you to believe}. [106] ”
