They said, “The governor of that country spoke rudely to us. He thought that we were spies!


Joseph saw his brothers. Joseph recognized them, but he acted like he didn’t know them. He was rude when he spoke to them. He said, “Where do you come from?”


At that time, King Rehoboam spoke hard words to them. He did not listen to the advice from the elders.


Then King Rehoboam talked to them in a mean way. King Rehoboam did not accept the advice of the older men.


Will Leviathan beg you to let him go free?\par Will he speak to you with gentle words?\par


But Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord? Why should I obey him? Why should I let Israel go? I don’t even know who this Lord is, so I refuse to let Israel go.”


If a person is poor, then even his family is against him. And all of his friends turn away from him. That poor person can beg them for help. But they will not go near him.


Poor people are slaves to rich people. The person who borrows is a servant to the person who lends.


I myself made all things.\par All things are here because I made them.”\par The Lord himself said these things.\par “Tell me, what people do I care for?\par I care for the poor people.\par I care for the people that are very sad.\par I care for people that obey my words.\par


“What great blessings there are for the people that \{know they\} have spiritual needs!\par The kingdom of heaven belongs to them.\par


You show special attention to the person wearing nice clothes. You say, “Sit here in this good seat.” But you say to the poor person, “Stand there!” or, “Sit on the floor by our feet!”


But you show no respect to the poor man. And you know that the rich people are the people who always try to control your lives. And they are the people who take you to court.

Now think about it and decide what you can do. Nabal was foolish to say the things he did! Terrible trouble is coming to our master (Nabal) and all his family.”
