Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you seen my servant Job? There is no person on earth like Job. Job is a good and faithful man. He worships God and refuses to do evil things.”


So God sent his servant, Moses,\par and Aaron, God’s chosen priest.\par


In this way the Lord spoke to Moses face to face. The Lord spoke to Moses like a man speaks with his friend. After speaking with the Lord, Moses would go back to the camp. But his helper always stayed in the tent. This helper was Joshua son of Nun.


I tell you the truth: John the Baptizer is greater than any man that has ever lived. But even the least important person in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John.


So what did you go out to see? A prophet {\cf2\super [135]} ? Yes, and I tell you, John is more than a prophet.


When Moses saw this, he was amazed. He went near to look closer at it. Moses heard a voice; it was the Lord’s (God’s).


A person that is trusted with something must show that he is worthy of that trust.


I will send them a prophet [121] like you. This prophet will be one of their own people. I will tell him the things he must say. And he will tell the people everything I command.


Then Moses, the Lord’s servant, died there in the land of Moab. The Lord had told Moses this would happen.


Then, even if I cannot come soon, you will know about the things that people must do in the family {\cf2\super [13]} of God. That family is the church of the living God. And God’s church is the support and foundation of the truth.


Moses was the Lord’s servant. Joshua son of Nun was Moses’ helper. After Moses died, the Lord spoke to Joshua. The Lord said,


“My servant Moses is dead. Now you and these people must go across the Jordan River. You must go into the land I am giving to you, the people of Israel.
