Cry out, Bath Gallim! {\cf2\super [130]} Laishah, listen! Anathoth, answer me!

These are the messages of Jeremiah. Jeremiah was the son of a man named Hilkiah. Jeremiah belonged to the family of priests that lived in the city of Anathoth. {\cf2\super [1]} That city is in the land that belongs to the family group of Benjamin.

The men from Anathoth were planning to kill Jeremiah. Those men said to Jeremiah, “Don’t prophesy {\cf2\super [100]} in the name of the Lord, or we will kill you.” The Lord made a decision about those men from Anathoth.
